On the other side, Geoffrey is contemplating his options, and his thoughts turn to Frances's sister. The family connection gives him access to details about his wife that he did not ask for, and what he learns is more unsettling than he wanted. Geoffrey is learning things he cannot unlearn, and the episode lets that knowledge sit sour. The episode braids the two storylines together: trust breaking down among the captors, and a husband discovering that he never really knew the woman he is trying to save. The two storylines never meet, which is exactly right: they are pulling toward the same collision from opposite ends.
